Maybe you know how to use some apps but are not sure about how to integrate them properly into your classroom?

OR

You know you need to teach coding and don't have a clue where to start?

OR

Maybe you've only had a quick play with the apps and don't know their capabilities?

OR

Maybe you feel like you have no idea on even organising your email and working with the staff Google Drive and need some help?

No matter where you are in your digital mindset, there is no better time to conquer the digital realm.

You just can't afford to wait.

Your students need you to help navigate the digital space.

BEFORE I TELL YOU MORE ABOUT IT, LET'S TAKE A STEP BACK AND TALK ABOUT THE REAL PROBLEM

BECAUSE WE HAVE A PROBLEM.

Teachers are asked to attend professional development all the time.  I know. I've been there.  You need to take a day off school to attend (but I have so much to do!) or you need to go after school hours (when your brain is so fried it is hard to stay motivated).

If you manage to be inspired by this new learning you may get excited about using it, but you are not really sure about how it fits in your own classroom.  How could I use this in this term's inquiry?

You get back to school feeling invigorated to use your new knowledge but you don't have enough iPads or Chromebooks and you can't borrow next door's because they are using them, or the batteries are flat because someone forgot to plug them in.

Then you get flustered once you have finally organised to borrow and collect the devices because the students are disrupted and extra excited because they get to use the technology, but none of them actually have the full knowledge on how to use them.

If you haven't already had a stress overload, you are called away to talk to a parent, go to a staff meeting, get ready for duty, finish that testing....

"Can I remember how to use that app again??"

3 REASONS YOU NEED TO ADDRESS THIS RIGHT NOW

The Digital Technologies Curriculum is compulsory.  There is no option to opt out.

Starting the term on the right foot will make the rest of your year so much more enjoyable.  Your students will be highly engaged, working within their own talents, and making choices about which tool suits them to use for their work.

What if we go back into lockdown?  Will your students be able to communicate with you and complete tasks online?

PD IN THE CLASSROOM ALONGSIDE STUDENTS

I can come into your school and teach both teachers and students at the same time, bringing a class set of 24 iPads.  A one day booking means up to six sessions of teaching so that you can up-skill as a whole school or syndicate, making it easier for teachers to support each other while going through the process.  Use the time how you would like, you may prefer a full day in one classroom.

Looking for quality teaching during CRT days?  Instead of a reliever, I will come in and take the class for the day and teach digital technology in a more in depth way, targeted to your students.  I can then meet with the teacher after school or at lunch time to explain what we have done and how to maintain it.

One day cost is just about the same as one reliever, but so much more valuable!

One day booking - $295

or book in six 1 hour sessions for the same price.
