ABOUT

I am an Australian who now lives in New Zealand, and I have been teaching in New Zealand for over 16 years now. I spent a lot of time teaching juniors and then over the past five years have been teaching Year 0 -8 (5-13 year olds). I also had a sabbatical to help start up a gifted and talented school, using technology among other things to help children use their gifts and talents, and show their learning in a way that suits them. I've taken all that experience and used it to create ways of teaching that suit all children (and adults). No person is alike and you can't expect individuals to all learn the same way.

Schools

I have a post graduate certificate in Digital and Collaborative learning and am also a certified Level 2 Google Educator.

I have a relaxed personality but that doesn't mean that I am unfocused. It means that if I can save time by changing small things when teaching, I'm going to do it. No teacher wants to increase their workload! I'm all about making life easier.

Senior Citizens

I teach digital technology to adults and senior citizens and help empower them to feel comfortable using their devices, and also importantly how to stay safe online. I explain how things work in tangible terms which makes all the difference in helping understand the reason behind what we need to do to get the results that we want. Patience, kindness and some confidence boosting is what I love to do. I don't just fix your devices (although I can if you need it), I help you to be able to be confident enough to do it yourself. We can sit down over a cuppa, or Zoom, and go through things step by baby step.

Corporate/Business support

Full support for members of your team to get competent with the technology needed to succeed in their position. Individual or group coaching and help with using social media platforms and websites if necessary.
